Applications Support Engineer

We have an immediate need for an Applications Support Engineer to join our end-client, a law firm, located in Los Angeles, CA for a full-time, permanent position. This position will be responsible for day-to-day management and support of their enterprise systems, including working with vendors for upgrades and implementations. .

Location: Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite)

This Job Pays: $125,000-150,000

What You Will Do:

• Work on application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and roadmaps.
• Provide direct oversight and management of various solutions as assigned.
• Act as subject matter expert for those systems and provide technical support as needed. Ensure the health and stability of all solutions owned.
• Monitor, track, and report on performance and capacity. Responsible for capacity planning.
• Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation for use by both engineering teams and support staff.
• Work with product vendors and procurement.
• Work with QA on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.
• Works overtime and after-hours as required. Participates in on call rotation for after-hours break/fix support.

What Gets You The Job: 

• 5+ years of experience working with and supporting enterprise platform
• Experience with desktop and mobile applications for their installation and configuration
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, IIS; understand ports & communications between application servers, database servers, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of system integrations
• Experience with SQL Server, SQL queries, and reporting
• Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and application security (firewalls, certificates, etc.)
• Experience with scripting using PowerShell is preferred
