Data Engineer ETL/ELT (Onsite)

We have an immediate need for a Data Engineer ETL/ELT to join a healthcare financial technology company that enhances experiences between patients, providers, and employers and provides access to treatment and care of all by removing financial barriers. The Data Engineer role will collaborate with business and technology teams to drive data capture and workflow strategy in support of our reporting and analytics developers.

Location: Irving, Texas

This job pays: $120,000 – 140,000 annually

What You Will Do:

• Manage and maintain data capture, storage, and ETL / ELT workflow using the Microsoft stack.
• Create and stage data workflows for Ingestion by Power BI service objects and compatible tools.
• Create and document dataflows; perform data transforms, mappings, and cleansing; craft logical and physical data structures to achieve high data quality and consistency based on reporting requirements; maintain data Integrity and security.
• Assume responsibility for successful, timely, and complete data collection from varieties of sources to populate an historically comprehensive Data Lake; ADLS Gen2; BLOB storage.
• Incorporate externally managed parameters and business rules into ETL / ELT workflows to dynamically Influence processing and ‘change management’ of resulting dataflows / data marts.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Knowledge of modern data architecture concepts and core data services, such as Data Lakes, Data Flows, Data Marts, and Datasets, as well as relational and multi-dimensional modeling, and master data management.
• 5-7 years of experience with SQL Server, Analysis Services Tabular, and Power Query (M) tools.
• 3-5 years of experience with web-based Power BI Premium services, including content management, and workspace authorization.
• 3-5 years of experience with AZURE SYNAPSE Analytics; data factories, dataflows, pipelines.
• Familiarity with using SharePoint lists as data sources for parameters and business rules.
• 5-7 years of experience with troubleshooting data issues and Identifying root causes of performance bottlenecks.
