ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ServiceNow Development

    • Design, develop, test and debug solutions on the company ServiceNow platform.
    • Develop solutions using ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box functionality whenever possible.
    • Develop custom solutions as needed by leveraging web services, 3rd party integrations and internal data sources.
    • Develop enhancements and bug fixes within the Customer Service and IT Service Management modules.
    • Collaborate with all key functions within IT (e.g. Infrastructure, Integrations, PMO, Security) to ensure cohesive solutions and coordinated deployments.
    • Manage the production and dev/test environments.
    • Document and communicate technical aspects of work performed.

Requirement and Design

  • Participates with BSAs and the business in discovery sessions and help clarify the business problem, pain-points, and opportunities.
  • Participates in requirements and design sessions to ensure solutions are sustainable and cost effective.
  • Knowledgeable and flexible design approach: able to clearly identify and communicate the limits of the platform to provide an appropriate design and solution.

Production Support

    • Provide production support for to the ServiceNow platform as needed
    • Participate in the on-call production support rotation
    • Participate and follow production change managed processes
    • Stay updated on applicable trends and new technologies
    • Maintains awareness of the overall IT landscape

Additional Responsibilities

    • Accountable for properly following all IT standards, processes and methodologies as applicable including but not limited to Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Other responsibilities and accountabilities may be assigned based on business and organization needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification

  • Four-year college preferred or commensurate work experience.
  • ServiceNow certifications a plus.

Experience

  • 8-10 years of work experience as a developer
  • 5 years of hands-on-experience developing in ServiceNow
